hold a degree in History from Greece and a Master's degree in Global History from the University of Bayreuth, Germany, and I am currently a PhD candidate in History. As a native Greek speaker with hands-on experience teaching both Greek as a foreign language and history, I bring real classroom practice together with a strong academic background.
I believe learning a language should feel natural, not intimidating. My goal is for every student to feel comfortable speaking from the very first lesson, build confidence at their own pace, and walk away from each class with practical Greek they can genuinely use, whether that's chatting with locals on a trip or simply exploring a language and culture they love.

I combine clear explanations with a conversational, question-and-answer style, so students understand the "why" behind what they're learning, not just memorize it. For Greek lessons, I focus on practical dialogue for real situations, travelling, chatting with locals, woven together with short cultural or historical notes for context.
A quick review of previous material, then the main focus, new vocabulary and dialogue practice, or a step-by-step walkthrough for history, closing with a short exercise or a related cultural note.
Patient, organized, and adaptable to each student's pace. I prioritize making students comfortable speaking and asking questions without fear of mistakes, and I track progress so lessons build on each other.
Beginner adults learning conversational Greek for travel or personal interest, and middle/high school students studying Greek history, both taught with the same focus on clarity and real context over rote learning.
